Silicon Nitride Bearing Ball Description
Silicon nitride bearing ball is a man-made composite product synthesized through several different chemical reaction methods. Parts are pressed and sintered by well-developed methods to produce a ceramic with a unique set of outstanding properties. Silicon nitride ceramic is ideal for bearing parts. Compared with steel, high-performance silicon nitride bearings balls have better mechanical properties under high temperatures and could survive most corrosive chemicals.
Supreme Ceramic Materials (SCM) can supply full ceramic and hybrid bearings products made of silicon nitride, zirconia as well as silicon carbide.

Silicon Nitride Bearing Ball Applications
Silicon nitride bearing ball is one of the most thermodynamically stable technical ceramic materials with high hardness as well, silicon nitride ceramic is ideal for bearing parts, especially for those required to work at high speed and high temperature. Si3N4 bearing balls have already been applied in automobiles, rockets high-speed engines, equipment working in a corrosive environment, and some performance model cars. Compared with steel, high-performance ceramic balls have better mechanical properties under high temperatures and could survive most corrosive chemicals.
